Exhibition Introduction
"CONNECTING US 2 TRASH" is an innovative art exhibition that serves as the kickoff for The Recycle Challenge Parade & Festival for 2025. This exhibition invites viewers to reflect on the pervasive issue of waste in our environments. It begins at the critical moment we encounter trash in our daily lives—whether it's witnessing someone carelessly tossing a food container from their car, observing litter scattered along streets, or confronting the overwhelming presence of waste in neglected neighborhoods. Each piece of discarded material tells a silent story, devoid of names, yet collectively they exemplify a crucial aspect of our consumer-driven culture.

HOW DO YOU CONSUME?

Conceptual Focus
At the heart of this exhibition lies a stark realization: our habits of consumption and disposal contribute significantly to the burgeoning global waste crisis. The first phase for artist of "CONNECTING US 2 TRASH" is to establish a foundation for engaging with the themes of excess, negligence, and the environmental impact of consumerism. This segment consciously omits the individual artists’ identities, the specific materials used, and any direct contact information, allowing viewers to focus instead on the overarching narrative.

What visitor's will experience about this phase of the show, is a not knowing who the artists are, who created what, how to contact artists and so forth.

Transformation Through Art

This is what the after a product has been used, or disregarded, throw away of the packaging. This is where it goes.

What sets this exhibition apart is the emphasis on transformation. Rather than highlighting finished artistic works, this phase invites the audience to contemplate the journey from trash to art. Each piece represents a conscious effort by artists and crafters to reclaim discarded materials, engaging in the practice of repurposing. This act not only addresses environmental concerns but also elevates the conversation about value, creativity, and the potential for renewal.
